EasyHebrew. Colorful matching game with verbs.
Situation and Solution
People from all over the world are making aliya to Israel. Many people start learning hebrew and encounter a large number of verbs. Verbs are similar to each other and have different meanings. The matching game is suitable for memorizing verbs.
It perfectly develops memory, attention, vision. In the future, you can add new verbs to the cards and thus make the project endless.
To make the game colorful and exciting, I came up with different cards. The cards are created in different colors depending on the type of binyan (hifil, hitpael, paal, piel) The verb type is also signed on the card. Thus, the student not only remembers the correct spelling of the verb, but also immediately understands its type by color.
The cards can be used by both teachers and students for self-study.
Process
The idea for the game was to pick up a few verbs in the form of an infinitive. I collected them into beautiful cards in Figma, Adobe Illustrator programs and added interactivity using the capabilities of Articulate Storyline program. The game was tested on a group of 4 people, minor edits were made, in particular, a small explanation of how to play was added before the game.
Design-system
To make the game colorful, I came up with different additional pictures for each of the cards. The "Success match" icon is also made different for each of the verbs. I picked up bright colors and playful grotesque font. Enjoy)
Full development
The player's task is to remember the location of paired cards with the same verbs. During the work on the game, variables of the True/False type were used. Open paired cards were assigned the status False, when clicking on a new card, it changed to True. If the player clicks on the wrong second card, the game will be reset.
